In “Agony Of Death”, the tenth album of Holy Moses, the quality is amazing, strong themes are evident, along with well-known weight and speed of the band. Sabina is singing better than ever, giving us a class of aggressive vocal lines. Like many other albums, it must be listen to, there are no words to define it. Best tracks: “Alienation”, “World In Darkness”, “Pseudohalluzination”, “Angels In War”, “Dissociative Disorder”, “Delusional Denial” and “Through Shattered Minds”, the last one of “Agony Of Death”. One particularity of this work is that all tracks end in a somber and obscure way, giving a totally different appearence and making us think about the theme of the songs. Congratulations, Holy Moses! Excellent work!

“Agony Of Death” é o décimo album da Holy Moses, a qualidade apresentada no album é incrível, os temas fortes estão evidentes, juntamente com o peso e a velocidade já conhecidos na banda. Sabina está cantando como nunca, dando uma lição de linhas vocais agressivas. Como muitos outros albuns, deve-se ser ouvido, pois não há palavras para defini-los. Vamos aos destaques: “Alienation”, “World In Darkness”, “Pseudohalluzination“, “Angels In War”, “Dissociative Disorder”, “Desilution Denial” e a faixa “Through Shattered Minds” que fecha “Agony Of Death”. “No Stranger To Danger” is the second album of Lääz Rockit, released in 1985, and now is being re-released along with their first one, “City’s Gonna Burn”. This second album, one of the most wanted thrash metal records by headbangers by the time it was released, had been remastered and has two bonus tracks, “Erased” and “Prelude”, both recorded live. ‘80s metal comes back with full energy and brings along masterpieces as “No Stranger To Danger”. Main tracks: “Dreams Die Hard” that opens this wonderful album, “Town To Town”, “Backbreaker”, “Stand Alone”, “Tonight Alive” and “Wrecking Machine” that closed the original record of “No Stranger To Danger”, but now is followed by bonus tracks. As “City’s Gonna Burn”, this is a must have for all bangers. I recommend!

Este segundo álbum foi um dos mais procurados pelos headbangers no gênero thrash metal na época em que foi lançado, agora remasterizado e com duas faixas bônus, sendo elas “Erased” e “Prelude”, ambas gravadas ao vivo. O metal oitentista volta com força total e trás consigo verdadeiras obras primas como “No Stranger To Danger”. This album is truly a sound nightmare, chaotic, powerful and brutal, all in one thematic album, because the lyrics are about a worldly nightmare lived day by day. Lothlöryen, band from Minas Gerais, Brazil, formed in 2002, goes on with its second album, and I must say it’s very good. Melodic metal with a hint of folk, making Lothlöryen’s work different and very interesting, for “Some Ways Back No More” has some surprises. I highlight some of them: “We’ll Never Be The Same”, “Hobbits’ Song” (a song that should work very well at a live perfomance), “Some Ways Back No More” (title track of this album), and the ballad “White Lies (Take Me Home)”. This is one of those albums you should slowly listen to so you can enjoy each song.

Os mineiros da Lothlöryen, banda formada em 2002, segue com seu segundo álbum, e diga-se de passagem está muito bom, metal melódico com passagens folk, o que deixa o trabalho da Lothlöryen além de diferente, bem interessante pois “Some Ways Back No More” tem algumas surpresas. Destaco algumas delas: “We’ll Never Be The Same”, “Hobbits’ Song” uma faixa que deve funcionar muito bem ao vivo, “Some Ways Back No More” a faixa titulo do álbum, a balada “White Lies (Take me Home)”. Este album é daqueles que se deve ouvir e curtir aos poucos para poder apreciar cada música.

This is the sixth album of Novembers Doom, band formed in 1989 in Chicago, USA. In this album the band shows all its musical skills, first quality doom metal. “The Novella Reservoir” is a truly surprise, mixing weight, melancholic melodies and great instrumental performances with such unusual expertise. Some solos remind old times of Paradise Lost.
Best tracks: “Rain” (opener song of this album), “The Novella Reservoir”, “Twilight Innocence” (a melancholic ballad), “The Voice Of Failure” (death/doom cadence and heavy track), “Dominate The Human Strain” and the beautiful song “Leaving This” that closes this amazing album.

Esse é sexto álbum da banda Novembers Doom, formada em 1989 em Chicago nos Estados Unidos, nesse album a banda demonstra toda sua capacidade musical, doom metal de primeira qualidade, “The Novella Reservoir” é uma verdadeira surpresa, pois mistura peso, melodias melancólicas e ótimas performances instrumentais, com uma maestria sem igual. Alguns solos remetem as fases mais antigas de Paradise Lost.

Sodamned / Dark Celebration - The Damned Celebration (Split Digipack CD) (2007)

Another pleasant surprise from the South of Brazil, I’m talking about “Sodamned” and “Dark Celebration” split cd. At first sight, a deluxe digipack, and then you remind an old saying “when something seems too good to be true...”, and that’s the surprise because both bands kick asses. If I was astounded when I saw the graphic art quality, listening to this album let me perplexed. Sodamned has five tracks and the first one of this split CD is “Sodamnizing”, a high quality instrumental music, followed by “Dive in Nothing”, “Over The Meadow”, “Locked In The Garret” and “Sky & Earth”. Along comes “Dark Celebration”, that let no doubts left about their quality work, and go on with a powerful “Infra Dark”, followed by “Reversed Creation”, “Prime Chaos”, “Soul’s Harvester Machine”, “Infernal Legions” and “Nights Ritual”. The split “The Damned Celebration” shows for sure the professionalism and capability of both bands. “Sodamned”’s outstanding tracks are “Over The Meadow” and “Locked In The Garret”; and the outstanding tracks of “Dark Celebration” are “Reversed Creation”, “Prime Chaos” and “Soul’s Harvester Machine”. Congratulations to both bands, excellent work!

Mais uma agradável surpresa do sul do país, falo do split cd das bandas “Sodamned” e “Dark Celebration”. A primeira vista um digipack de luxo, ai você lembra daquele velho ditado “Quando o milagre é demais...”, mas é ai que vem a surpresa, pois ambas as bandas destroem, se ao ver a qualidade gráfica fiquei abismado, ao ouvir esse álbum, fiquei perplexo. A Sodamned participa com cinco faixas e abre esse split CD com a música “Sodamnizing” um instrumental de qualidade, seguindo de “Dive In Nothing”, “Over The Meadow”, “Locked In The Garret” e “Sky & Earth”. Na seqüência vem a “Dark Celebration” que também não deixa dúvidas sobre a qualidade de seu trabalho, eles continuam o split com a poderosa “Infra Dark”, seguida de “Reversed Creation”, “Prime Chaos”, “Soul’s Harvester Machine”, “Infernal Legions” e “Nights Ritual”. Este split “The Damned Celebration” mostra sem duvida nenhuma o profissionalismo e a capacidade de ambas as bandas, destaco as faixas: “Diving In Nothing”, “Over The Meadow” e “Locked In The Garret” da “Sodamned”, já da “Dark Celebration” destaco as faixas: “Reversed Creation”, “Prime Chãos” e “Soul’s Harvester Machine”. Parabéns a ambas as bandas, excelente trabalho!
