Girlschool confirma primeiro e único show no BrasilBanda deixará estúdio para apresentação exclusiva A lendária banda londrina Girlschool finalmente vem ao Brasil. A única apresentação será no Festival Rock Feminino, considerado um dos mais importantes festivais do circuito da música independente do país. O show será no dia 19 de março, na antiga Estação Ferroviária de Rio Claro, cidade no interior do Estado de São Paulo. A entrada é um litro de leite longa vida. No repertório, não faltarão clássicos. As "meninas" Kim McAuliffe (vocal/guitarra), Enid Williams (vocal/baixo), Jackie Chambers (guitarra) e Denise Dufort (bateria) prometem agitar o público com as principais composições de sua longa carreira bem como de seu último álbum, “Legacy”, que contou com participações de lendas do rock, como seu padrinho musical Lemmy Kilmister, do Motörhead. Neste momento, elas estão em estúdio regravando o clássico “Hit & Run”, que será lançado em comemoração aos 30 anos de carreira da banda. No entanto, deixarão o estúdio exclusivamente para esta performance, que também será a primeira apresentação da banda no Brasil. Segundo a organização do evento, a presença da banda no FRF é extremamente representativa para as meninas do rock. “A vinda do Girlschool para uma apresentação exclusiva no Festival Rock Feminino é muito prazerosa para todos nós da organização, uma vez que as meninas formam uma das primeiras bandas femininas do mundo e vêm para tocar no primeiro e maior festival de rock de meninas do Brasil, ou seja, isso é muito significativo para todas nós”, dispara Vivian Guilherme, idealizadora do evento. Vivian revela que a vinda das ‘meninas’ só se tornou possível por elas terem achado a proposta interessante, sem contar que nunca haviam tocado em um festival especialmente de mulheres. “Por estarem em estúdio gravando elas não estão fazendo nenhum show, contudo parece que tinha que acontecer. Elas virão para realizar um magnífico espetáculo nas terras tupiniquins”, ressalta. O FESTIVALNa edição deste ano, o Rock Feminino terá praticamente um mês de muito Rock 'n Roll feito por mulheres. Pelo nono ano consecutivo a pacata Rio Claro, cidade do interior de São Paulo, se transformará no reduto rock para as meninas de plantão. O evento ainda terá como atrações em seu grande dia as bandas Mallu Magalhães, CW7 e Othera. Desde o início, o evento sempre contou com uma expressiva média de público reunindo sempre entre duas e três mil pessoas, mas, para esta edição, a produção estima receber mais de cinco mil pessoas. As entradas para as atividades do festival são gratuitas e/ou beneficentes (um litro de leite longa vida). Com uma estrutura de dois palcos, praça de alimentação, estandes de produtos, sorteios de brindes, além de Bluetooth Zone e Campeonato de Guitar Hero, o Rock Feminino novamente será inteiramente transmitido ao vivo por TV a cabo e internet, através da TV Cidade Livre. Na última edição, foi registrada a marca de três mil acessos somente via web. Paralelamente aos shows, serão promovidas palestras, workshops, mostra de cinema, de teatro, artes visuais, concurso literário, apresentação de banda sinfônica e reuniões para capacitação de produção musical e incentivo a produção autoral. Com atividades diferenciadas, o festival traz para o interior uma proposta única de capacitação do meio musical, incentivo das linhas culturais e valorização da figura feminina na sociedade. O Rock Feminino é uma iniciativa para divulgar a arte feminina, ajudar instituições de caridade e demonstrar a necessidade de políticas igualitárias entre homens e mulheres, o evento também integra o Festival Grito Rock, sendo realizado simultaneamente em toda a América Latina. O Grito Rock Feminino acontece no dia 26 de março. O encerramento do Rock Feminino acontece na cidade de Araraquara, dia 3 de abril, com o show de seis bandas no Teatro Wallace. O Festival Rock Feminino é uma realização da Rock Feminino Produções, da Rede Cidade Livre e Grupo Auê de Cultura e Artes, com apoio da Prefeitura Municipal de Rio Claro.
