São Paulo - 05/10 - Citybank Hall

After years waiting, finally Amon Amarth showed up. Citybank Hall on Moema district was the place where all the “vikingbangers” were waiting anxious, including myself. Inside there, everyone was itchy, an expectation clime.. when, at 8 pm, after the security warning, the lights were turned off and the curtain lifted.. so, the intro came, telling us what was comming on. A blue light was on the entire stage, as if the own Thor was there, to receive and bless everyone who went. The band appeared with total power, with “Twilight of The Thunder God” and “Free Will Sacrifice”, letng everyone filled with enthusiasm, after that: “Asator” and “Versus The World”.
They showed satisfaction with the public response. Johan said some portuguese sentences like “Boa Noite” and “Obrigado São Paulo”, cheering to the public, as a signal of respect and thanking for the nice reception. The concert was full of classics, like: “Last Of Pagan Blood”, “Fate Of Norns”, “Masters Of War”, “Runes To My Memory”, “Death In Fire” and “Valhall Awaits Me”.
After uninterrupted “petards”, the calm before the storm came with the introduction of the Odin ravens (Hugin (Spirit and Reason), and Munin (Memory and Undestanding)), so they plaied “Cry Of The Black Birds” leting the public crazy and ending the show with the so expected and requested by te fans: “Pursuit Of Vikings”. It was an amazing show, but everyone was with that feeling that it was too fast, Johan Hegg looked like a little sad at the end of the concert, but he was smiling and didn't want to believe that it was over, seeming that would like to stay there and feel the public energy, but it had ended. But the big surprise for those who were waiting the whole band members leave, happened on Citybank Hall parking, 30 minutes after the end, they gave autograph and took pictures together the fans, showing respect and enjoing that. It really was an memorable concert, a dream became true. And, for sure, they will return to Brasil.

O show mostrou-se recheado de clássicos, como: “Last Of Pagan Blood”, “Fate Of Norns”, “Masters Of War”, “Runes To My Memory”, “Death In Fire” e “Valhall Awaits Me”.
