In 1984, from San Diego-CA, Détente was formed. Using lyrics such as life, feelings, war and violence, they started to play in little houses in Los Angeles-CA and showed the thrash/speed metal force in their songs. And to recover a little bit of the 80's story, with you one of the main legends of the american metal: Steve Hochheiser (bass), just for old time's sake!

1 - Steve, how do you feel yourself being part of one of the more legendaries and classics american metal bands ?

I am proud to be part of DETENTE and proud to have been part of the early Thrash and Crossover scene. I am also somewhat suprised when I hear how many people have such respect for DETENTE now, in the early days we received a lot of praise from critics and musicians, but a lot of people did not understand the political and self reflective nature of the band; we were somewhat outside of the scene in the early 80’s.

2 - The album: "Recognise No Authority" (1986), is a great stuff to the metal history. How was the composition process of this album?

Recognize No Authority was recorded in about 8 days; we found a graet studio, Baby O, that we could not really afford so we would begin recording after the mangement team left about 9:30 pm each night and leave before 8 am. We paid off the staff with 20 a day and beer to report that we only used 4 hours when we were using 10! It was very intense and experimental; we were playing around with sampling and really changed the context of the songs.We recorded the basic tracks live in one take and then did the lead, vocal, and mixdown with the remaining time.

3 - Is there any curiosity about Détente that you can tell us, to show a little about the band history to the fans?

Dennis Butler and Dawn Crosby just changed the name of the band from Allies to Detente and had two shows booked if the S.F. Bay area at the legendary Mabuay Gardens and Ruhies Inn; Problem is they had lost their Guitarist and Bassist. Ross Ronison and I responded to an ad in a local paper around the same time; they had a demo with 3 songs to show us which included Shattered Illusions and Vultures in the Sky but had no other material. We had about a month tp prepare for the shows so Ross and I began writing the music and Dawn the lyrics we played everyday and put together Losers, Murder Inc (unreleased but you can see the video on you tube) and Widow’s Walk. We played with Blind Illusion and Control and people went nuts; we meet the guys from Metallica and Exodus at this time and just had a great time. After this we started writing new material and went into the studio to record Widow’s Walk and a new song I had Just Written, Holy War. We combined the two new song and the old demo and sent it to all of the zines. Kerrang, Aardshock, Metal Forces, and Rock Hard all jumped on board and began supporting the band. Soon afterwords we had label interest from all of the independents.

4 - Steve, how you guys felt about losing Dawn Crosby (1963-1996), a guy who was with Détente since the begining?

I was very sad when I found out; I had not seen her for a couple of years so I found out from a friend. She was difficult to work with at times but still a great person and talented artist; she just had a drug and drinking problem that was out of control. We all wish she would have made it but it was not meant to be; so many friends from the time were lost.

5 - In your opinion, what represents the Détente work and the album "Recognise No Authority" (1986)?

Détente was about writing and playing the songs we wanted to play; we never tried to please anyone or worried about whether the metal crowd or punk crowd would accept us so you ended up with music that was hard to label; if you listened to Blood I Bleed or Losers you might think we were Punk; if you listened to Holy War, It’s Your Fate, or Catalepsy maybe Thrash; Vultures in the Sky or Russian Roulette maybe Power Metal. Throw in the Political Elements and a Female singer and we were just far different from the mainstream. This commitment to being true to ourselves is what made us unique and I believe is why the music still sounds fresh today.

6 - Détente has a lot of fans in South America and in Brasil, are there any plan to play in these places?

I hope so. After the new CD we will tour Europe and do our best to get to Brazil and Colombia; thank you to everyone for the great support. I wish the US had half the heart of South America!

7 - How is the record process of “Decline”, announced in may?

We have written most of the music and will begin recording with Bill Metoyer in acouple of weeks; he has been moving his studio. The material is bit rawer then Recognize but undeniably Détente. If people are wondering if we have matured I think not! I will get to the end of my life without a ballad and be quite proud of it!

8 - About a second guitar player, there was the announcement in your site, how is this selection process?

We have had a lot of interest but have not found the right person. Everyone gets along great in the band so we are looking for the right personality as well as player. If we have to remain a 4 piece we are not concerned.

9 - In 2008 was released the compilation: Détente - History I (Cognitive Records), how was the acceptance of that?

History 1 is selling very well and has also received great reviews. I think people like getting a chance to hear us in our rawest form with the original demo and a glimpse of where we were headed with the Catalepsy material; Obituary Fear and An Offering were being written for the second Détente record.

10 - A message to Détente's fans.

We appreciate the support and hope to meet as many of you as we can over the next year. Last year in Germany we met so many people you came from around the world not knowing if we would play again; well we plan on bringing Détente to as many places as we can next year and look forward to sharing many beers and stories. 1 - Steve como você se sente fazendo parte de uma das maiores lendas e mais clássicas bandas do metal americano?

Fico orgulhoso por fazer parte da Détente e orgulhoso de ter sido parte da primeira da cena de thrash e crossover. Fico também um tanto surpreso quando vejo quanta gente tendo tal respeito ao Détente agora, No começo recebemos muitos elogios de críticos e músicos, mas muita gente não entendeu a parte política e mesmo auto-reflexiva da banda; fomos um tanto fora da cena no início dos anos 80.

2 - O álbum "Recognise No Authority" (1986), é um marco para a história do metal, como foi feita a composição deste álbum?

“Recognize No Authority” foi gravado em aproximadamente 8 dias; encontramos um grande estúdio, Baby O, e realmente não podíamos deixar isso passar, assim começamos a gravar depois da equipe de management sair, por volta das 21h30 toda noite, e saíamos antes da 8h00. Pagávamos o pessoal com $ 20,00 dólares por dia e cervejas para informar que só usávamos 4 horas quando na verdade eram 10! Foi muito intenso e experimental; brincávamos com os samples e realmente modificávamos o contexto das canções. Gravamos as faixa básicas em uma tomada só, a base, vocal, e o mixdown com o tempo restante.

3 - Existe alguma curiosidade sobre a Détente, que você possa nos contar para resgatar um pouco da história da banda aos fãs?

Dennis Butler e Dawn Crosby mudaram o nome da banda de Allies para Détente e tivemos dois shows marcados na Bay área de São Francisco no lendário Mabuay Gardens e Ruhies Inn; o problema é que eles tinham perdido o seu Guitarista e o Baixista. Ross Ronison e eu respondemos a um anúncio em um jornal local no mesmo tempo; eles tiveram uma demo com 3 canções para mostrar-nos, que incluía Shattered Illusions e Vultures in the Sky mas não tinha nenhum outro material. Tivemos aproximadamente um mês para nos prepararmos pros shows, então Ross e eu começamos a escrever a música e Dawn as letras, nós tocávamos todo dia e incluímos Losers, Murder Inc (não lançado mas você pode ver o vídeo no youtube) e Widow's Walk. Tocamos com Blind Illusion e Control e a galera ficou louca; conhecemos os caras do Metallica e do Exodus neste tempo e nos divertimos muito. Depois disto começamos a compor o novo material e entramos no estúdio para gravar Widow's Walk e um novo som que eu acabava de fazer, Holy War. Juntamos as duas novas canções e a demo e envíamos a todos os zines. Kerrang, Aardshock, Metal Forces, e Rock Hard todos pularam a bordo e começaram a apoiar a banda. Logo depois, os selos indepentes se interessaram

4 - Steve, como foi para a banda perder Dawn Crosby (1963-1996), já que ela estava desde o inicio com a Détente?

Fui muito triste quando descobri; eu não a via há uns anos portanto fiquei sabendo por um amigo. Era difícil trabalhar com ela algumas vezes mas era uma grande pessoa e artista talentosa; ela tinha problemas com drogas e bebidas, que estava fora de controle. Desejávamos que ela estivesse aqui mas não era para ser; perdemos muitos amigos daquele tempo....

5 - Na sua visão o que representa o trabalho da Détente e o álbum "Recognise No Authority" (1986)?

O Détente compõem e toca sons que realmente gostamos; nunca tentamos agradar alguém ou nos preocupamos se a cena metálica ou a cena punk nos aceitariam, então acabamos tocando músicas difíceis de rotular; se você escutou o “Blood I Bleed” ou “Losers” você pode pensar que somos Punk; se você escutou “Holy War”, “It’s Your Fate” ou “Catalepsy” talvez ache que é thrash; “Vultures in the Sky” ou “Russian Roulette” power metal; Junte elementos políticos e um vocal feminino e nós podemos ser considerados diferentes do mainstream. Este compromisso de sermos verdadeiros com nós mesmos consiste no que nos fez únicos e acredito porque a música ainda soa fresca hoje.

6 - A Détente tem muitos fãs pela América do Sul e pelo Brasil, existem planos futuros para o público brasileiro e sul americano?

Espero que sim. Depois do novo CD, faremos turnê na Europa e daremos o nosso melhor pra irmos ao Brasil e Colômbia; obrigado a todos pelo grande apoio. Queria que os EUA tivessem metade do coração da América Latina!

7 - Como está o andamento das gravações de “Decline”, anunciado em maio deste ano?

Escrevemos a maior parte das músicas e começaremos a gravar com Bill Metoyer em algumas semanas; ele esteve mudando de estúdio. O material é um pouco mais cru que Recognize, mas inegavelmente Détente. Se as pessoas estiverem se perguntando se amadurecermos, penso que não! Vou chegar ao fim da minha vida sem uma “balada” e estarei bastante orgulhoso disso!

8 - Sobre um segundo guitarrista, foi anunciado no site oficial sobre uma seleção, como está sendo feito esse processo para esse segundo guitarrista?

Tivemos muitos interessados mas não encontramos a pessoa certa ainda. Todo mundo se encaixa bem na banda portanto estamos procurando a personalidade certa assim como as habilidades na guitarra. Se tivermos de permanecer com 4 na formação, não tem problema.

9 - Em 2008 foi lançada a compilação Détente - Histoty I (Cognitive Records), como foi a repercussão deste lançamento?

History 1 está vendendo muito bem e também recebeu grandes criticas. Acho que as pessoas gostam de ter a possibilidade de ouvir-nos na nossa forma mais crua com a demo original e comparar com “Catalepsy”; “Obituary Fear” e “An Offering” quando estavam sendo compostos para a segunda gravação da Détente.

10 - Um recado aos fãs da Détente

Agradecemos o apoio e esperamos encontrar com todos vocês no próximo ano. No ano passado na Alemanha encontramos tantas pessoas que vieram de todo lugar do mundo não sabendo se tocaríamos novamente; planejamos trazer Détente a tantos lugares como pudermos no próximo ano, e queremos compartilhar muitas cervejas e histórias. MORK - SYMPHONIC BLACK METAL - BRASILIA-DF

In Brazil we have a name as exponent symphonic black metal, the band is Mork from Brasília-DF, which appears to show the strengh of the brazilian scene.
We talk with Rafael Foizer (guitarrist) to know more about this incredible band. Check out!

First of all I thank you for the interview. Now tell us a little about the history of the band, present the Mork for the readers:

Firstly, thank you very much for the opportunity and for the support! For the ones who still didn't have the opportunity for listening to our work, we play Black Metal in a symphonic way. In the beginning we were playing Dimmu Borgir covers, but just while our songs were being done. When we finish our compositions we record our first EP “ Preposterous “, in the Broadband Estúdio (Caio Duarte - Dynahead), which has 6 tracks and it was finished / pressed in november 2008.

Mork is seen as the a special surprise in the Brazilian scene, you are the precursors of the style, and you did it with so great confidence, what does it represent to you?

It represent a big resposabilidade! We are happy being received in this way in the Brazilian scene, since we always had the preoccupation to do and give the best possible for the public. We are a new band in the market, but since the foundation of Mork we understand that the market is more and more competitive, and we want to be seen as a professional band since the beginning.

During a long period, Mork was an incomplete band, since the rehearsals were done by simulators of keyboard and drum, and since all learning is valid, tell us, what did you you get from this experience?

It was a very good experience. We had a long time to think about which style we really wanted to follow and how it would sound Mork in our first work, that was essential musically and in the choice of the musicians that we were longing to complete the band.

The EP “Preposterous“ was released independently in 2008 with the distribution by Freemind Records, and it has had good praises. Were you waiting this receptivity?

We would play a lot to have this kind of receptivity as soon as possible, because we worked constantly in the EP “ Preposterous “, so it could come up with a non-existent differential comparing other bands in the market. We did not worry about saving expenses or time, we wanted everything in the best way possible and with a quality above the average comparing the beginners band, and it is very good to see that we are managing to reach our expectations.

How the composition of the album was done? And who composes the letters?

Firstly, we gor all the ideas that we had and began to compose and edit the songs based on that. Usually, we use the program Guitar Pro to have a notion relatively better of how will be the final product.
All the members of the Mork participate both in the letters and in the songs. What people asked us several times is why only appears the names of Rafael Foizer being the creator of the letters and Samuel Borges like the creator of the songs, in the insert of the CD. That happened because the patents and registers of the songs and letters had to be in the name of only a person for each thing, then we had to proceed in this way.

After finishing the EP “ Preposterous “, Rabbet joined the band, because you decided to let Samuel (bass player) only at vocals, not more as bass player and vocals. What did it bring of positive the band?

We take this decision so Samuel could have a better interaction with the public in the shows and so we could improve the bass riffs.

Which are the main influences to the band?

Each member has their own influences, that is very good since we can work with several kinds of ideas so we can create something unique, but we can tell that the main band influences are: Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Belphegor, Immortal, Nile, Vital Remains, Old Man's Child.

And about the shows, tell us how is being the public reception? Are you having many shows?

We have had a very good public acceptance in the shows, many people have marked a strong presence in them, and that is bringing a good spread. Since June we do not schedule shows, since we will be in studio in July for a new record.

The European market is one of the most aimed by the bands, due the quantity of festivals and shows, do you have any plan to the “ old continent ”? Is there any spread of the album there?

We have many plans to play outside, principally in Europe. We have the clear conviction that there is the cradle of the opportunities for our musical style, and our objective is to reach national and international success. We are doing a very good spread abroad as well as in Brazil, and as soon as possible we will be doing shows in the “ old continent “ and world.

And about the plans for a full lenght, do you intend to enter in studio to record a new album?

Not only we intend as we are already with scheduled dates in the studio to record our full lenght, now in July 2009.
We will be recording 13 new songs, and you can be sure that the result will be something more destructive than the EP “ Preposterous “. This cd is going to show the musical differential that we intend to initiate into Mork.
The launch is predicted for November 2009, if everything happens as planned.

Thanks so much for the support that everybody has given us in this hard beginning, we wait to exceed the expectations in this next album!

It is a magazine that does a serious work and has been giving great support for the national scene and it's the best place for bands that need of only a minute to show what they are able to do.

No Brasil já temos um nome como expoente no black metal sinfônico, é a banda Mork de Brasília-DF, que surge para mostrar a força do cenário brasileiro.
Falamos com Rafael Foizer (guitarrista), para conhecermos um pouco mais sobre essa incrível banda. Confiram!

Antes de mais nada agradeço a entrevista cedida. Agora nos conte um pouco da história da banda, apresente a Mork para os leitores:

Primeiramente, muito obrigado pelo espaço e pelo apoio! Para quem ainda não teve a oportunidade de escutar nosso trabalho, nós executamos Black Metal na linha mais sinfônica. No início tocávamos Dimmu Borgir Cover, mas apenas enquanto nossas músicas eram feitas. Quando finalizamos nossas composições gravamos nosso primeiro EP “Preposterous”, no Broadband Estúdio (Caio Duarte - Dynahead), que possui 6 faixas e foi finalizado/prensado em novembro de 2008.

A Mork está sendo vista como uma surpresa única no cenário brasileiro, vocês são os precursores do estilo, e o fizeram com tamanha desenvoltura, o que isso representa para vocês?

Representa uma grande resposabilidade! Ficamos felizes em ser recebidos dessa forma no cenário brasileiro, pois sempre tivemos preocupação em fazer e dar o melhor trabalho possível para o público. Somos uma banda nova no mercado, mas desde a fundação do Mork nós entendemos que o mercado está cada vez mais competitivo, e queremos ser vistos como uma banda profissional desde o princípio.

Durante um bom período, a Mork era uma banda incompleta, pois os ensaios eram feitos com simuladores de teclado e bateria, e como todo aprendizado é válido, nos conte, o que vocês tiraram desta experiência?

Foi uma experiência muito boa. Tivemos um bom tempo pra refletir sobre que estilo realmente queríamos seguir e como soaria o Mork em seu primeiro trabalho, isso foi essencial musicalmente e na escolha dos músicos que almejávamos para completar a banda.

O EP “Preposterous” foi lançado independente em 2008 com a distribuição pela Freemind Records, e anda rendendo bons elogios, vocês esperavam essa receptividade?

Torcíamos muito para ter esse tipo de receptividade o quanto antes, pois trabalhamos constantemente para fazer com que o EP “Preposterous” chegasse com um diferencial inexistente das outras bandas no mercado. Não nos preocupamos em poupar despesas ou tempo, queríamos tudo da melhor forma possível e com uma qualidade acima da média das bandas iniciantes, e é muito bom ver quer estamos conseguindo alcançar nossas expectativas.

Como foi feita a composição do álbum? E quem compõe as letras?

Primeiramente, pegamos todas as idéias que possuíamos e começamos a compor e moldar as músicas em cima delas. Geralmente usamos o programa guitar pro para termos uma noção relativamente melhor de como será o produto final.
Todos os membros do Mork têm grande participação tanto nas letras como nas músicas. O que já nos perguntaram várias vezes é por que só aparecem os nomes dos membros Rafael Foizer sendo o criador das letras e Samuel Borges como o criador das músicas no encarte do CD. Isso aconteceu pois as patentes e registros das músicas e letras tinham que estar no nome de apenas uma pessoa para cada coisa, então tivemos que proceder dessa forma.

Após a finalizar a gravação do EP “Preposterous”, ingressou na banda o baixista Guilherme, porque decidiram deixar Samuel apenas nos vocais, e não mais como baixista também? E o que isso trouxe de positivo a banda?

Tomamos essa decisão para que o Samuel pudesse ter uma interação mais forte com o público nos shows e para que pudéssemos enriquecer musicalmente os riffs de baixo.

Quais a maiores influências da banda?

Cada membro possui sua própria influência, isso é muito bom pois podemos trabalhar com vários tipos de idéias e formar algo único, mas podemos dizer que as principais influências são de bandas como: Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Belphegor, Immortal, Nile, Vital Remains, Old Man´s Child.

E quanto aos shows, conte nos como está sendo a recepção do publico? Estão fazendo muitos shows?

Tivemos uma aceitação muito boa com o público nos shows que fizemos, muitas pessoas tem marcado forte presença neles, e isso vem rendendo uma boa divulgação. Desde junho não marcamos shows, pois estaremos entrando em estúdio no mês de julho para uma nova gravação.

O mercado europeu é um dos mais visados pelas bandas, pela quantidade de festivais e shows, vocês tem planos para o “velho continente” ? Existe alguma divulgação do álbum lá fora?

Temos planos grandes para o exterior, principalmente Europa. Possuímos a clara convicção de que lá é o berço das oportunidades para nosso estilo musical, e nosso objetivo é alcançar sucesso nacional e internacional. Estamos fazendo uma divulgação muito boa no exterior assim como no Brasil, e assim que possível estaremos a fazer shows no “velho continente“ e mundo.

E quanto aos planos para um full leight, vocês pretendem entrar em estúdio para gravar um novo álbum?

Não só pretendemos como já estamos com data marcada no estúdio para a gravação do nosso full lenght agora em julho de 2009.
Estaremos gravando 13 músicas, todas novas, e pode ter certeza que o resultado vai ser ainda mais destruidor que o EP “Preposterous”. Esse cd vai mostrar o diferencial musical que pretendemos iniciar no Mork.
O lançamento está previsto para novembro de 2009, se tudo ocorrer como o planejado.

1 - First of all, I'd like to thank you for the interview and for the time conceded to us. Introduce the band, telling a little bit about Madness.

We who tank you for the oportunity of spreading our work, also we congratulate you for your work in Heavy’olution Metal Web Magazine, in favor of the brazilian metal. Madness started in february 2006, when Felipe Coradini joined the band and we started to compose together, me (Alexandre (v), Rô Moreira (b) and Felipe Coradini (g) lacking a drummer, we were looking for the ideal line-up and the band changed name and members several times. But Madness was born in this meeting and we are the official members since the begining. Evertyhing was very elaborated e discussed, so we decided to play something agressive and heavy, with so much technique, and it was happening naturaly. We played some time without drummer but we always ere opening tests and looking for the perfect line-up fot the band proposal. But, everyone who was in the band helped. We had the oportunity to play with Korzus right in our second appearance, and it motivated Heric "Tumor" (Bestial Atrocity in that time), he joined the band when the old drummer left and we had 2 shows scheduled that time, and he with so much effort, got the songs and played with us in both events. So he has played into Madness since them and re-formulated all the songs, and put a huge brutality in our sound, so we all grew individually what made a better band . We until changed his name after a Madness fan asked us in Filipinas to put Heric "Tumor Blast", due his fast blastbeats. A little time after Heric joined the band, Renato Hate (Hate Corrosion, P.N.H.) joined Madness so we played in some events with 2 guitar players, in this time we participated in some compulations, “1ST Grind Compilation From The Grave Slaughtering The Dead” by Anura Records in Filipinas with the participation of great names, like Lividity, Carnivore Mind, Bogrit, Malignant Decay, Human Mastication, Ghoretuary and the Split 3 Way with Madness, Daggerspawn and Visceral Carnage. But Renato left Madness friendly, for personal reasons.. and today he plays with Heric in P.N.H.

2 - It's evident that, even the fact that Madness is a "new" band, you show a mature sonority, sometimes you show brutal songs, sometimes technical musics. Where came from all this power and quality of this brutal sound?

It was difficult to reach this level, everything was very weel planned. Always trying to make a sound that gives pleasure listening, and we were growing inside the music atmosphere. We always worry about making the best we can, no fear to risk. Madness is a project from several years, some songs were written in 1990, just to you understand. 19 people already played in this band and it was hard to reach this place. Seeing the band active is a real pleasure. We like to play heavy, with technique and brutallity, plus some insanity. The main point of the band is the creativity we have, all our songs are loved for us and for our fans.

3 - Which are the main influences of the Madness's musicians?

Everyone here like heavy and brutal stuff. We listen the whole extreme metal, since Thrash Metal to Goregrind.

4 - The Madness lyrics are about intense topics. Who is the responsible for the lyrics, and where come from the inspiration for that?

The lyrics are written by me (Alexandre), i fell confortable to talk about the topic, it's very expansive. All the lyrics are sequences of stories showing the misdeed. They relate the hell inside the mind of each human being, the vital essence of life fading and death taking place of that, for a eternity of suffering and angst.
We talk about double personality, supernatural, ocultism, exorcism, reencarnation, the evil inside us. A being named Six was created, he torments and prepares the victims to the death, ego duels interpreted all the time. Pain and suffering relating past lifes and showing the consequences . The topics are varied and the band name came out due that, trying to understand the things and come closer the madness.

5 - After the stabilization of the band line-up, the CD-demo “Limbus - The Threat Of Six” (Vampiria Records) came out. How was the acceptance of that in this first step of the band?

In this time the band had only 8 songs and we wanted to play something heavy, but many things changed. There were changes in the line-up, what was necessary to the band.It was another kind of sound, more Old school. But, naturally, we adapted ourselves, plaing more agressive, because the topic asked for something more energic. Who listen Madness in Limbus"The Threat of Six" and compare with "Fury in Blood" can say that it's another band. We just adapted ourselves for line-up changes. It' natural and positive this maturing, considering the musical context.

6 - You got space in many national and international compilations, including countries like Peru, Costa Rica, Philippines and Malaysia, Mexico, Serbia, France and the United States. How was the result of these compilations for Madness? What that brought of positive to the band?

Everything happened pleasantly and very quickly and the a lot of invitations appeared to participate of these Compilations, Splits and a Demo, it was very gratifying. When you see a work representing Brazil, with excellent bands here and abroad.. it is very positive. It's a great realization, we are satisfied in seeing that Madness pleases many styles in Metal, there are that emphasise black metal, compilations, the Split the Brutal Death, another compilation emphasises grind/gore, another compilation the thrash/death. That is very positive, we are learning with it all. We have our characteristics and the dimension Extreme Metal dimension is very big, we try to innovate and to show our proposal with great dedication.
We appreciate for all the opportunities when we can show our music.

7 - In 05/19/2007, the band made the first show, and after that, there was a change in the formation, entering in the band Heric Tumor Blast (drum) and Renato Hate (guitar). With the entry of the new integrants, were there some change in the sonority of the band?

There was a "Brutal" difference as I mentioned before, it improved everything in the band. It became more insane, heavier, quicker. A very good dose of brutality and the technique emerged, it was a very positive experience to the progress of Madness, in search of the integration.

8 - In 2008, the labels Genocidio Records (Brazil) and Sound Of Charge Records (France) released the new demo “ Fury In Blood ” of Madness. How's been the repercussion and distribution of the new CD-demo?

This was a golden opportunity for Madness, we wanted to show that it had an evolution in the songs and we already had done new stuffs like Brutality-Virtue of the Ignorance, In the Valley of the Suicide, Fury in Blood, Six-My Condolences. So, came the invitation of Pascal (France) in Myspace and the guy liked the music and he wanted to help us somehow, and as he is the owner of Sound of Charge Rek (France) he proposed the release of the second Madness demo in France, aiming a simple spreading and production, but with positive result. I made the art and the logo of the two demos, we had a little time and we recorded a rehearse, and with great luck everything got cool.
It was not what we wanted, but in that time we wanted to spread our music, in the way that the sound was being plaied with the current line-up.. Genocidio Records entered with the label in Brazil and they help us up to today in the distribution and spread of the Demo Fury in Blood, which had the same art released in November in France and in Brazil, that changed only the stamp in the cape, 300 copies were released in France and it was and sold all over Europe in the end of 2008. It's having the best repercussion possible, and it's being very quite accepted for the specialized criticism, taking this opportnity I'd like to thank Pascal (S.O.C), Lívia and Taiguara both from Genocídio, since they believe in our capacity. Thanks, so much!!.

9 - Are there any plans for a full lenght?

We look for a quality recording and we hope to enter in studio in the end of the year.
We are composing new songs and I can tell you that we are optimists with the new creations. At the moment we are spreading " Fury in Blood " but we are working strongly behind the scenes aiming the first official band album. We are working so much for that and I believe the objectives will be made real. We are in a cool sequence of events and in each presentation, the band strengthen in the search of our objectives.

10 - A word or sentence that could represent Madness.

Determination.

11 - Which are the future plans and projects?

Madness is a new band that has the feet in the ground, we are working to complete many objectives. We already completed many objectives, we plaied with great bands like Korzus, Torture Squad, Caustrofobia, Queiron, Havok, Desdominus, Corporate Death and so on, I'm proud for having participated of these events. The first step is work for a excellent quality, I think that we all deserve that. I talk about all, the Madness guys and all the people who are always with us and support straightly or indirectly the band. The Debut is the biggest objective and in order of that we are able to perform tours for all Brazil and out of the country, it is the dream of any band and with Madness it would not be different. We like to rehearse, compose, but plaing live is much better. This is the main point of the band, together with the public, we are an explosion of adrenalin in the stage.

12 - A message to the fans.

I want to thank you very much for the opportunity for this interview and to tell to the fans that the Metal is born in the personality of each one, when the expression is heard " it' in the blood ", it is purest true. We are working strongly for our objectives and we are always trying to improve and to learn with everything, I ask the guys to express their opinion, criticize, suggest since we only can improve and grow in this way. We make a Death Metal, sometimes brutal, sometimes old school, but always looking for a singular personality in our music. Always looking to be remembered like the band Madness, a Death Metal band from Piracicaba that play with great claw and dedication to the lovers of our music. Thanks to all the bands for the friendship, for the opportunities, for the consideration, and we are with total power to add up to the Underground, this vast and rich of talents stuff. A banda Madness com seu brutal death metal, se mostra uma das maiores e mais promissoras bandas do cenário nacional no estilo.
A HEAVY’OLUTION METAL não poderia deixar passar em branco e fomos falar com Alexandre Guerreiro (vocal), que nos mostrou um pouco da trajetória da banda.

1 - Antes de mais nada gostaria de agradecer a entrevista e o tempo a nós cedido. Nos apresente a banda, contando um pouco da história da Madness.

Nós é que agradecemos a oportunidade de estar aqui divulgando o nosso trabalho e aproveito pra parabenizar o excelente trabalho feito pela Heavy’olution Metal Web Magazine em prol do Metal Nacional. A Madness nasceu em fevereiro de 2006 quando Felipe Coradini entrou pra banda e começamos a compor juntos, eu (Alexandre (v), Rô Moreira (b) e Felipe Coradini (g) ainda sem batera, estávamos a procura da formação ideal e a banda mudou de nome e componentes inúmeras vezes. Mas a Madness nasceu desse encontro e somos os membros oficiais da banda desde o começo. Foi tudo muito elaborado e discutido e decidimos seguir uma linha agressiva com muito peso e técnica,e tudo foi acontecendo naturalmente. Ficamos fazendo música um bom tempo sem batera e sempre abrindo testes, e buscando a formação ideal pra proposta da banda. Mas todos que passaram contribuíram muito pra banda crescer. Tivemos a oportunidade de tocar com o Korzus já no segundo evento nosso, e isso nos motivou o Heric "Tumor" (Bestial Atrocity apenas na época) entrou pra banda pra suprir a necessidade da saída do antigo batera e tínhamos dois shows marcados na época, e ele com muita garra pegou as músicas e tocou com a gente os dois eventos. E se firmou na Madness até hoje e reformulou todas as músicas, e colocou uma brutalidade imensa em nosso som e todos crescemos individualmente e na soma tudo melhorou no coletivo da banda. Até mudamos o nome dele a pedido de um fã do Madness nas Filipinas para Heric "Tumor Blast" por causa dos velozes blastbeats dele. Um pouco depois da entrada do Heric na banda o Renato Hate (Hate Corrosion, P.N.H.) entrou na Madness e tocamos alguns eventos com dois guitarristas, nessa época participamos de algumas compilações como “1ST Grind Compilation From The Grave Slaughtering The Dead” da Anura Records nas Filipinas com participação de grandes nomes como Lividity, Carnivore Mind, Bogrit, Malignant Decay, Human Mastication, Ghoretuary e no Split 3 Way com Madness, Daggerspawn e Visceral Carnage. Mas Renato deixou o Madness amigavelmente por motivos pessoais e hoje toca com o Heric no P.N.H.

2 - Fica bem claro, que apesar de a Madness ser uma banda “recente”, a banda apresenta uma sonoridade bem madura, ora vocês apresentam um trabalho brutal, e em outras passagens trabalhos bem técnicos, de onde vem todo o poderio e qualidade dessa brutalidade sonora?

Foi muito árduo o trabalho pra chegar a isso, tudo foi muito planejado. Sempre visando um som que passasse prazer ao ouvir, e fomos amadurecendo e crescendo dentro da música. Sempre com a preocupação de fazer o melhor dentro das possibilidades, sem medo de arriscar. A Madness é um projeto nosso de vários anos, tem letras que foram escritas em 1990 pra você ter uma idéia. Passaram pela banda 19 pessoas e foi uma batalha chegar aqui e poder ver a banda na ativa é um prazer muito grande. Gostamos de muito peso, técnica e brutalidade, tudo isso somado com uma boa dose de insanidade. O ponto forte da banda é a criatividade, todas as músicas são queridas por nós e pelo público.

3 - Quais as maiores influencias musicais dos integrantes da Madness?

Todos gostamos de muito peso e brutalidade,ouvimos todas as vertentes do Metal Extremo,do Thrash Metal ao Goregrind.

4 - As letras das musicas da Madness abordam temas bem fortes, quem é o responsável pelas composições das letras, e de onde vem a inspiração para elas?

Todas as letras são feitas por mim (Alexandre), me sinto a vontade em falar do tema que é muito abrangente. Todas as letras são sequências de histórias criadas e passadas pra músicas que mostram com clareza a maldade delas. São letras que relatam e abordan o inferno dentro da mente de cada ser vivo, a essencia vital da vida se esvaindo e ganhando a amplitude da morte por uma eternidade de sofrimento e angústia.
Falamos de dupla personalidade, sobrenatural, ocultismo, exorcismo, reencarnação, o mal enraizado em cada um de nós. Foi criado um ser de nome Six que atormenta e prepara as vitimas pra morte, são duelos de egos interpretados nas músicas o tempo todo. Muita dor e sofrimento relatados a vidas passadas e mostrando as consequências no presente. O tema é muito amplo e nome da banda veio por isso, ao tentar chegar perto de entender e beirar a loucura.

5 - Assim que a banda se estabilizou com uma formação, foi lançado o CD-demo “Limbus - The Threat Of Six” (Vampiria Records), como foi à receptividade do trabalho nessa primeira fase da banda?

Nessa época a banda tinha apenas oito músicas e a proposta era de fazer um som pesado, mas muita coisa mudou. Teve mudanças na formação e que foram necessárias no contexto da banda. A pegada era outra, tinha uma vertente Old school maior no som da Madness. Mas naturalmente fomos nos adequando a uma postura mais agressiva, pois o tema pedia uma energia maior de nossa parte. Quem houve Madness em Limbus"The Threat of Six" e compara com o Madness de "Fury in Blood" fala que é outra banda. Só nos adequamos as mudanças de formação é natural e muito positiva pra Madness esse amadurecimento dentro do contexto musical e da proposta da banda.

6 - Vocês conseguiram espaço em muitas compilações nacionais e internacionais, incluindo paises como o Peru, Costa Rica, Filipinas e Malásia, México, Sérvia, França e Estados Unidos. Como foi o resultado dessas compilações para a Madness? O que isso trouxe de positivo ao trabalho banda?

Tudo aconteceu agradavelmente muito rápido e foi aparecendo um convite atrás do outro pra participar dessas Compilações, Splits e uma Demo, isso foi muito gratificante. Você ver um trabalho representando o Brasil com excelentes bandas aqui e no exterior é muito positivo. É uma realização muito grande,ficamos satisfeitos em ver que a Madness agrada muitos estilos no Metal, tem compilação que predomina o black metal, o Split o Brutal Death, outra compilação o grind/gore, outra compilação o thrash/death. Isso é muito positivo, estamos aprendendo com todos. Temos as nossas características e a dimensão do Metal Extremo é muito grande, tentamos inovar e mostrar a nossa proposta com muita dedicação.

7 - No dia 19/05/2007, a banda fez um show de estréia, e em seguida houve uma mudança na formação, entrando na banda Heric Tumor Blast (bateria) e Renato Hate (guitarra). Com a entrada dos novos integrantes, houve alguma mudança na sonoridade da banda?

Houve uma diferença "Brutal" como mencionei acima,melhorou em tudo a banda. Ficou mais insano, mais pesado, mais rápido. Teve uma dose muito boa de brutalidade e aflorou a técnica, foi uma somatória de experiências muito positiva pro andamento da Madness em busca do entrosamento.

8 - No ano de 2008, os selos Genocidio Records (Brasil) e Sound Of Charge Records (França), lançaram a nova demo “Fury In Blood” da Madness, como está sendo a repercussão e distribuição do novo CD-demo?

Essa foi uma oportunidade de ouro pra Madness, queríamos mostrar que teve uma evolução nas músicas e já tinhamos feito novos titulos como Brutality-Virtue of the Ignorance, In the Valley of the Suicide, Fury in Blood, Six-My Condolences. Surgiu o convite do Pascal (França) no Myspace e o cara curtiu o som e queria ajudar a gente de alguma forma, ele como é dono do selo Sound of Charge Rek (França) propôs o lançamento da segunda demo do Madness na França visando divulgação e uma produção simples mas com resultado positivo. Eu fiz a arte das duas Demos e o logo e brasão, tinhamos pouco tempo e entramos em estúdio e gravamos um ensaio e com muita sorte a gravação ficou legal. Não era o que queríamos, mas no momento queríamos muito divulgar a nossa música da forma que estava sendo executada com a formação atual. A Genocídio Records entrou com o selo no Brasil e ajuda a gente até hoje na distribuição e divulgação da Demo Fury in Blood, que teve a mesma arte lançada em novembro na França e no Brasil que mudou só o selo na capa, na França foi feita 300 cópias e vendeu por toda a Europa no final de 2008. Está tendo uma ótima repercussão e sendo muito bem aceita pela critica especializada, já aproveitando quero agradecer ao Pascal (S.O.C) e a Lívia e o Taiguara ambos da Genocídio por acreditarem na gente. Muito obrigado mesmo.

9 - Existem planos para um full leight?

Buscamos uma gravação de qualidade e esperamos entrar em estúdio no final do ano.Estamos compondo músicas novas e posso adiantar que estamos otimistas com as novas criações. No momento estamos divulgando "Fury in Blood" mas trabalhando forte nos bastidores visando o primeiro trabalho oficial da banda. Lutamos muito pra isso e acredito os objetivos vão ser concretizados. Estamos em uma sequência legal de eventos e cada apresentação à banda se fortalece na busca das metas traçadas.

10 - Uma palavra, ou frase que possa representar a Madness.

A Madness é uma banda nova que tem os pés no chão, estamos caminhando em busca de vários objetivos. Muitos objetivos já conseguimos,tocamos com excelentes bandas como Korzus, Torture Squad, Caustrofobia, Queiron, Havok, Desdominus, Corporate Death e por ai vai, tenho orgulho de ter participado dos eventos. O primeiro passo é trabalhar em cima de um material de excelente qualidade, acho que pela luta todos nós merecemos isso. Me refiro a todos mesmo ao Madness e a todas as pessoas que estão sempre com a gente e torcem direta ou indiretamente pela banda. O Debut é o maior objetivo e para podermos sair em turnê por todo o Brasil e quem sabe extender isso pra fora do país, é o sonho de toda banda e com o Madness não seria diferente. Gostamos muito de ensaiar, gravar, mas o lance mais fudido é ao vivo. Ali é o ponto muito forte da banda, junto com o público, somos uma explosão de adrenalina no palco.

12 - Um recado aos fãs.

Quero muito agradecer a oportunidade mais uma vez pela entrevista e dizer aos fãs que o Metal nasce na personalidade de cada um,quando se ouve a expressão "tá no sangue" é a mais pura verdade. Estamos trabalhando forte em busca dos objetivos e buscando sempre melhorar e aprender com todos, peço pra que opinem, critiquem, sugiram pois só assim podemos melhorar e crescer. Fazemos um Death Metal ora brutal, ora old school, mas sempre buscando uma personalidade singular na nossa música. Sempre buscando ser lembrado como a banda Madness, uma banda de Death Metal de Piracicaba que toca com muita garra e dedicação aos amantes da nossa música. Obrigado a todas as bandas pela amizade, pelas oportunidades, pela consideração e estamos ai com força total pra somar ao Underground Nacional tão vasto e rico de talentos. Hail Underground!!!

PANNDORA - THE FEMALE POWER OF TRADITIONAL METAL

First of all, I'd like to thank you for the attention.Now, tell us a little bit about the band history.
Panndora was Wind Of Fate. Why this name? And why did you change to Panndora?

Adrismith - We think that Wind of Fate is cool, but very “heavy” to our kind of music, so we think that Panndora is more interesting, even due the mitology and femalle stuff.

For some time, Panndora was off, with just 2 member of the original formation: Adrismith (drum) and Kamila Trevisan (guitar). How was it for you? Was a hard battle?

Adrismith - It was very hard, because we couldn't rehearse or play live, but it was good, we grew even more due this phase..

The band members, such as Natalia Ferlin (guitar / vocal) and Jhovanny (bass), stabilized yourselves in 2003 and coninued on the road and un the battle. How was this selection process?

Adrismith - First, Natalia joined. then Jhovanny. Since Jhovanny was the only man of the band we didn't have any proble, it was natural.

Since the begining, you show traditional heavy metal influences. Which are the main influences of Panndora members? What helped in your musical formation?

Adrismith - We have several influences, principaly from 80's bands like: Judas Priest, Warlock, Black Sabbath, Dio, Manowar, Kiss, Running Wild, Wasp, and others.

In October 2003, the demo: “Choose Your Side” was released and more than 1000 copies were distributed to Brasil and also outside. How was the acceptance of that? What did it represent to you?

Adrismith - That was very important , we'd never recorded nothing “serious” and we had a good acceptance, received several criticisms that made us grow even more. A lot of people outside got interested in our material and they wrote us, it was very satisfactory.

In 2005, you started the record process of the full lenght, but the new members left and caused a delay, once again, how was the new selection process, how did you discover Aline Rizato (Vocals), Camila (guitar) and Taise (bass)?

Adrismith - They were introduced by friends and we invited them to make a test, they came and joined the band .

2007 was another difficult year for you, since Aline Rizato (vocals) left the band in the end of the year, so Rebeca Froeming Rastelli replaced. How was the experience to recording this album in the middle of so many problems?

Adrismith - When Aline left, in the end of 2008, the Cd had been released more than 1 year ago, so we didn't have any problems with that.

How is being the spreading of “Panndora”, and how is the fan acceptance of that?

Adrismith - To be honest, we're not spreading that CD anymore, because it's far from what we are today. We're worried about recording new songs and spreading those.

Which ate the future plans, Do you intend to work in a new studio album ?

Adrismith - We are recording and spreading the songs, one by one. To release a independent album is not interesting, because it requires so much money and we don't have it now. We are scheduling some concerts and a lot are already scheduled. We're open for new invites from producers.

A phrase or tought that could define Panndora's work.

Adrismith - Everything is result of what we enjoy, listen and support, with love and simplicity!

Adrismith - Keep supporting the brazilian metal, we have a lot of good bands here!

Antes de mais nada gostaria de lhe agradecer a entrevista, e pela sua atenção. Agora nos conte um pouco sobre a história da banda, para os metalheads.
A Panndora, já se chamou Wind Of Fate, porque deste nome, e porque da mudança para Panndora?

Adrismith - Achamos o nome Wind of Fate legal, porém muito “forte” para nossa proposta de som, então achamos mais interessante Panndora, até pela questão mitológica e feminina.

Por algum tempo a Panndora ficou parada, com apenas duas integrantes da formação original: Adrismith (bateria) e Kamila Trevisan (guitarra), como foi para vocês está época, a batalha foi difícil?

Adrismith - Foi bem difícil, pois não dava para ensaiar e muito menos tocar ao vivo, mas foi boa para nós essa fase, nos fez crescer mais ainda.

As integrantes da banda como Natalia Ferlin (guitarra / vocal) e Jhovanny (baixo), vocês se estabilizaram em 2003 e se mantiveram na estrada, e na luta. Como foi esse processo de seleção?

Adrismith - Primeiro entrou a Natalia e em seguida o Jhovanny. Como o Jhovanny era o único homem dentro da banda, não tivemos problema algum, foi natural.

Desde o inicio vocês apresentam influencias de heavy metal tradicional, para as integrantes da Panndora, quais as maiores influencias da banda? Quais nomes ajudaram na formação musical de vocês?

Adrismith - Temos várias influencias de bandas dos anos 80 principalmente, posso citar algumas, como: Judas Priest, Warlock, Black Sabbath, Dio, Manowar, Kiss, Running Wild, W.A.S.P., dentre outros.

Em outubro de 2003, a demo “Choose Your Side” foi lançada, e foram distribuídas mais de mil copias para o Brasil e exterior, como foi à receptividade do trabalho? O que isso representou a vocês?

Adrismith - Foi importante esse trabalho para nós, pois nunca tínhamos gravado nada serio e a receptividade foi legal, recebemos várias criticas construtivas que nos fizeram evoluir mais. Muita gente lá de fora ficava interessada em nosso material e nos escrevia, isso era muito satisfatório.

Em 2005, vocês iniciaram a gravação do full leight, porém as novas integrantes deixam a banda e atrasaram o processo de gravação, mais uma vez como foi o novo processo de seleção, como descobriram as integrantes Aline Rizato (Vocais), Camila (guitarra) e Taise (baixo)?

Adrismith - Elas foram indicadas por amigos e convidamo-as para fazer um teste, elas toparam e logo estavam na banda.

O ano de 2007 foi mais uma vez difícil para vocês, já que a vocalista Aline Rizato, deixa a banda no final do ano, dando lugar a Rebeca Froeming Rastelli, como foi gravar esse álbum diante de tantas dificuldades?

Adrismith - Quando a Aline deixou a banda, no final de 2008, o Cd já estava gravado fazia mais de 1 ano, então não tivemos problema em relação a isso.

Como está sendo feita a divulgação do álbum “Panndora”, e como está a recepção por parte dos fãs?

Adrismith - Pra ser sincera, não estamos mais divulgando aquele CD, pois ele está muito longe do que a banda é hoje. Estamos mais preocupadas em gravar novos sons e divulga-los.

Quais os planos para o futuro, pretendem entrar em estúdio para um novo trabalho?

Adrismith - Estamos gravando musica por musica e divulgando. Não compensa gravar todo um CD independente, pois necessita de muito investimento financeiro e isso é o que menos temos no momento. Estamos agendando alguns shows, já temos vários marcados e estamos abertas a novos convites de produtores de shows.

Adrismith - Tudo é resultado do que gostamos, ouvimos e apoiamos, com amor e simplicidade!

PREDATOR - NEW BAND FROM FORT LAUDERDALE-FL, USA FOR THE WORLD!

From Fort Lauderdale, Fl United States, enough for the metalheads a new band, the Predator. We talk with Damien Lee Thorr (guitar) about the band.

1 - Before starting, I'd like to thank you for giving us your time for this interview. How Predator was created?

Damien: Chris Reiser and I had some songs we collaborated on and decided to start the project and it eventually became a band.

2 - Predator, in spite of not so much time on the road, has an 80's metal energy and sound. How was this possible?

Damien: It is the natural way that Chris and I compose music. It came very naturally without thinking about the 80's.

3 - Which are the main influences of Predator's musicians?

Damien: We all like many types of music and we all come from very different cultural backgrounds. Our influences come out all the time. We are into everything from Power metal, Thrash metal, Death metal, Classic Rock, Classical music, Flamenco, Latin, Fusion and a lot of other types.

4 - How was the composition process of this first album?

Damien: The songs were written very quickly but we took our time with production to make sure everything was great. Chris and I wrote the entire album together.

5 - It's evident that the new album will have a good acceptance by the “metalheads” side, and, of course the band will make a lot of presentations. How are the dates for the concerts and tours?

Damien: We are in the middle of talks with management and promotion companies to see about putting Predator on some tours.

6 - Predator has plans in Brasil?

Damien: We have not been invited to Brazil yet. But we would LOVE to play there.

7 - And Europe also will be presented with this release?

Damien: We have had a huge response from European and South American fans. It makes us very happy to hear from everyone and to know that people love our music warms a special place in our hearts. We are ready to play as soon as they invite us to play.

8 - One thought that could define Predator?

Damien: Predator is reality metal. I think we offer something new to metal heads all over the world. There is too much death growling going on and people singing about devil worship and other topics that I think are bad and bad for the fans. We offer true topics about life and it makes people think deeply about life.

9 - A message to the fans.

Damien: Thank you for being our fans! Thank you so much for your love and support. We love you all and we can't wait to meet you and shake your hands. When we see each other in our shows, scream as loud as you can for us because we will play our best for you at loud volume!

1 - Antes de começarmos gostaria de agradecer a entrevista e o tempo que nos foi cedido
Como surgiu a banda Predator?

Damien: Chris Reiser e eu tivemos alguns sons em que colaboramos e decidimos iniciar o projeto, e eventualmente isso se tornou uma banda..

2 - A banda Predator apesar de recente, possui a energia e a sonoridade do metal dos anos oitenta, como isso foi possível?

Damien: Essa é o jeito natural que Chris e eu compomos as músicas. Isso veio muito naturalmente, sem pensar na decada de 80.

3 - Quais são as maiores influencias dos músicos da banda?

Damien: Todos nós gostamos de muitos tipos de música e todos nós temos uma bagagem cultural diferente. Somos influenciados o tempo todo. Curtimos tudo de power metal, thrash metal, death metal, rock clássico, musica clássica, flamenco, latina, fusion e muitos outros tipos de música.

4 - Como foi o processo de composição deste primeiro álbum?

Damien: As músicas foram compostas muito rapidamente mas a produção durou mais tempo, para termos certeza que tudo estava perfeito. Chris e eu compomos o album inteiro juntos.

5 - É evidente que o novo álbum terá uma boa receptividade por parte dos “metalheads”, e com certeza a banda fará muitas apresentações, como está a agenda de show e as turnês?

Damien: Estamos conversando administradores e promotores de umas companhias pra ver se colocam Predator em algumas turnês.

6 - A Predator tem planos para o Brasil?

Damien: Não fomos convidados para tocar no Brasil ainda. Mas ADORARIAMOS tocar ai.

7 - E a Europa, também será presenteada com esse lançamento?

Damien: Temos tido uma enorme resposta de fãs europeus e sul-americanos. Nos deixa muito contentes ouvir de todos e saber que as pessoas adoram nossa música, isso nos toca no fundo do coração. Estamos prontos para tocar assim que formos convidados.

8 - Uma ou pensamento que definiria a banda Predator?

Damien: Predator é metal de verdade. Acho que oferecemos algo novo aos metalheads do mundo inteiro. Tanta morte acontecendo e pessoas cantando sobre adoração do demônio e outros temas que achamos que são ruins e ruins para os fãs. Oferecemos temas sobre a vida e isso faz com que as pessoas pensem profundamente sobre ela

9 - Um recado aos fãs.

Damien: Obrigado por serem nossos fãs! Muito obrigado pelo amor e apoio. Adoramos todos vocês e mal podemos esperar para encontrar vocês e balançarmos suas cabeças. Quando nos virem nos shows, gritem o mais alto que puderem para nós porque nós daremos nosso melhor para vocês em volume máximo!

U-Ganga revela capa de novo álbum

Vol. 3 - Caos, Carma, Conceito será lançado em setembro no formato digipack luxo

O U-GANGA está na reta final da produção de seu novo álbum. Intitulado Vol. 3 - Caos, Carma, Conceito, este será o terceiro disco do grupo e foi gravado no Orbis Estúdio no Distrito Federal junto com o produtor Riti Santiago (produtor ganhador do VMB). No momento o disco está sendo masterizado na Alemanha por ninguém menos que Harris Johns, famoso produtor responsável por alguns clássicos imortais da história do rock/metal como Pleasure To Kill (Kreator), Heavy Metal Breakdown (Grave Digger), Walls Of Jericho (Helloween), Zombie Attack (Tankard), Killing Technology (Voivod), RIP (Coroner), Persecution Mania (Sodom), Live (Cro Mags), além do Brasil e Anarkophobia do Ratos de Porão e o Under Siege do Sepultura, apenas para citar alguns.

Enquanto a masterização não fica pronta, o U-GANGA tratou de finalizar a capa e todo trabalho de arte do álbum. Quem assina todo o conceito, criação e design é o próprio baterista da banda, Marco Paulo.
"Criar essa capa foi algo bem desafiador", conta o músico e designer. "Ao mesmo tempo que queria algo que tivesse alguma ligação com o som da banda, também queria criar algo fora dos padrões das capas de som pesado que rolam atualmente. Não queria aquele padrão "photoshop" da maioria das artes que andam circulando. Gosto muito de artes que você pode ter diferentes interpretações, e acho que consegui isso com essa capa."
De fato, não só pelo cenário e todos os seus elementos, mas as cores intensas da capa de Vol. 3 - Caos, Carma, Conceito instigam a observação.
"A questão de saber se o cara está enterrando algo ou se está simplesmente plantando uma árvore é o que mais gosto nessa arte, essa dúvida que ela provoca. Essa mistura de cores e todo esse cenário criado, na minha opinião, ilustrou bem o título desse álbum: "Caos, Carma, Conceito". Essa variedade de sentimentos, expressões e interpretações."
Em Vol. 3 - Caos, Carma, Conceito, o U-GANGA continua explorando sua identidade musical que é caracterizada pela mistura de elementos do hard core, thrash metal, dub e hip hop. Nas letras, reflexões filosóficas e autoconhecimento.
Vol. 3 - Caos, Carma, Conceito vai reunir as faixas “Zona Árida”; “P.A.X.”; “Encruzilhada”; “Meus Velhos Olhos De Enxergar O Mal (2 Lobos)”; “Iso 666”; “Velas”; “Asas Negras”; “Milenar”; “O Primeiro Inquilino”; “Fronteiras Da Tolerância”; "3XC", "Sua Lei, Minha Lei" e "Kali Yuga".Vários convidados especiais aparecem no disco como o guitarrista Fábio Jhasko (ex-Sarcófago), o rapper X (ex-Câmbio Negro) e Johny Murata (Lumina).

Deventter revela título e tracklist de novo álbum

Lead... On reunirá 11 faixas e tem lançamento previsto para setembro

Lead... On será o título do novo álbum banda de rock/metal progressivo DEVENTTER. Esse será o segundo álbum da carreira da banda, sucessor do elogiado The 7th Dimension (2007). Lead... On está sendo gravado no Creative Studios e no Norcal Studios, ambos em São Paulo (SP), e vai reunir as seguintes faixas: "O.M.T"; "6000"; "Bunkers & Bankers"; "Reflected"; "All Rights Removed"; "Transcendence Inc."; "..."; "This Grace"; "Losing Track Of Time"; "Down To The Apex" e "Lead...Off".

De acordo com o baixista Leonardo Milani, o título Lead... On dá vazão à várias interpretações, sejam elas de cunho político, religioso ou filosófico.
"O título do nosso novo trabalho (Lead... On) é resultado da busca por uma expressão polivalente, ou seja, que possa ter vários significados, dependendo de como o fã interpretar. As reticências estão aí para complicar um pouco mais."
Esteticamente, Lead... On significa uma continuação de The 7th Dimension. As músicas apresentam conexões umas às outras, embora o trabalho não seja conceitual. Milani garante que o álbum foi muito bem pensado nesse sentido. "As letras de cada música contam, de maneira sutil e aberta, a história e o conceito do CD. Para isso, usamos um conjunto de eu-líricos distintos, o que, além de criar maior possibilidades para o álbum, ao abrir a exposição de idéias de vários pontos de vista, simplesmente deixam as coisas mais interessantes e ainda nos dá maior espaço para explorar a expressividade de cada música."
